So, I have a list of approximately 1000 things to do.
I have to finish up the dining room, though progress has been made. But there’s a window covering to do, a wall shelf to hang, the living room to empty out, and then the kitchen, and then the cleaning of aforesaid locations.
There’s stuff I need to do for the upcoming Fringe Element Bizarre Bazaar, and for my own Bluegrass Leather Pride.
There’s a Leather Presentation I need to write.
I have to refill my ink on my printer.
I have some business of life stuff, things to mail, things to pay, things to buy.
slave drew’s birthday is Wednesday, Thanksgiving is Thursday and then it’s the holiday weekend.
I made a list of the things I have to do and haven’t done them, but making a list was kind of on the list.
I need to get my nails done.

So, my friend aisha and I had talked for a bit about having a Kinky Bloggers Convention.
You can find her blog here.
Anyway, she mentioned it on a blog, and I pointed out that it’s actually pretty easy to make that happen, because I already have an event planned for March 1-3, in Louisville, Kentucky.
That event is Bluegrass Leather Pride, and it will open with a Meet and Greet/Reception traditionally held in a bar, on Friday night.
There we’ll have classes during the day on Saturday, the 2nd. We’ll break for the Louisville Munch, then come back for the actual Bluegrass Leather Pride contest, followed by a play party.
I’ll also have a keynote speech, and I’m not sure when it will be, it might be at a Sunday brunch of during the contest,
The contest will be entertaining, if nothing else...Read More
I just got an invitation this week to present at Kinky Kollege in Chicago in October. An old friend, Jack Rinella, asked me to do a 101 sort of class for them, as well as a couple more. I don’t know what else I’ll present for him, I sent him a long list of classes I have available.
I will also be presenting with my friend Ms Tammy at Mr. Georgia Leather in Atlanta in September, and of course I’ll be presenting at GLLA in August in Indianapolis. I presented last month at Corn Con in Bloomington, Illinois, and in April at Beyond Leather, in Florida.
I also do local classes once a month at least, too.
I like presenting. I’m a dominant, what’s better than standing in front of a bunch of people, all of who are gazing at me with rapt attention, hanging on every word I say...Read More
I have spent my day confirming the various schedule for GLLA.
One of the projects I work on all year is GLLA. The GLLA Mission Statement, from the website, is:
The mission of the Great Lakes Leather Alliance is to build bridges between the Leather, BDSM, D/s, M/s, fetish, and alternative sexual lifestyle communities.
The Great Lakes Leather Alliance hopes to promote education and enhance communication between each of these groups, and it seeks to promote the success and welfare of the individuals and organizations within our combined community. We especially want to protect against threats to our freedom of expression.
We will not discriminate based on age, sexual preference, gender, race, or any other diversity...Read More
I was just asked to judge the International Master and slave contest in March in Dallas. That lead me to remember something I wrote a while back, which I am again going to retread, about judging a Leather contest:
I spent last weekend in the rather strange position of judging other members of our community.
Let me clarify, since to some extent, we judge others all the time in all kinds of ways. I was officially judging them. It wasn’t just the usual passing of a yay or a nay about someone and the choices they made in partner or wardrobe.
I was one of eight judges on a panel to pick a Leather Sir, a Leather boy and a Bootblack, all of whom would go on to the International Leather Sir/Leather boy and Community Bootblack Contest.
It’s an interesting thing to come into a room as a sort...Read More
I have, in the course of my time in the community, been nominated for a fair number of awards. I never win any, to be clear, and that’s really ok, though it’s always easier to lose when you lose to people whom you would vote for over yourself, too.
I got a notice in my email today that I’d been nominated for a Pantheon of Leather award.
The Pantheon of Leather is one of the major award groups in the Leather community. There are some other awards, too, obviously, but Pantheon is kind of the Academy Awards of Leather, in that there are a lot of different awards for a lot of different categories.
There are six or eight regions, and there are usually between four and six nominees in each category...Read More
